Starting out

A little background - We (me and Justin) have been together for 8 years and married for 2 1/2.  We met shortly after he PCS'd here from Charleston, SC.  We have 2 cats that think they're either people or dogs.  I recently got my nursing license, and tested in NV because it was cheaper and faster than waiting to do it here in CA... that was a mistake.  I eventually want to go back to school and finish my bachelors and get my masters.  Justin wants to go back to school as well and finish his degree in computer gaming science.  Needless to say, we have huge plans for our future.

To begin - It's January, and Justin is preparing for a big change.  This past holiday has been the most interesting holiday yet.  We, along with many other air force families, were informed that the AF is going through some drastic cuts.  They are accepting applications to volunteer for separation, as well as involuntarily separating some people.  This is huge for us as Justin has been thinking of separating at the end of this enlistment.  We have decided to apply for separation.

Wow.  This is such a huge decision.... So much to think about and plan for.  To start: we want to start a family, and plan on doing so once we get settle toward the end of this year. We also want to change our lifestyle to be more healthy and be better role models for our future children.  I think we would like to lose close to 100 lb combined.  That's a lot.  So we are trying to eat better an get more exercise.  This should be interesting since baking is just about my favorite thing to do.

There is so much going on and it's only the second week of the year. I'm still trying to kick this stomach bug, I'm working on transferring my nursing license from Nevada (which is it's own headache), planning a huge move, and hoping to start a family.

Soooo... All in all, it's already been a big year.  I'm so excited for what this year will bring my little family :)
